Security operations center (SOC) is a central point of an organization’s security function, from which related personnel supervises the overall security process and responds to coming alarms.
Information security operations center (ISOC) is usually dedicated to the security of enterprise information systems, such as web portals, networks, users, desktops, databases, CRM/ERP/GIS applications etc.
Typical ISOC requires a lot of visualization to present related dashboards, summary pages of special tools, location maps, etc. Some security officers are working with their stations keeping common information on the videowall and on several information screens around. Some sources are web-based dashboards, while others are workstation desktops and applications.
